Our high-quality malt powder (50 g) is a proven and popular nutrient source in mushroom cultivation and is ideally suited for the production of liquid culture media (e.g., for liquid culture – LC). It provides the mycelia with essential sugars, vitamins, and minerals necessary for strong and healthy growth.

Malt powder is primarily used in combination with water (often in conjunction with yeast extract or dextrose) to produce a liquid nutrient solution. In this solution, fungal mycelia can grow quickly and effectively before being transferred to a substrate.

Scope:

  • Production of liquid cultures (LC) for mycelium propagation

  • Supplementation or preparation of nutrient media for Petri dishes (e.g. MEA – Malt Extract Agar)

  • Ideal for hobby breeders and professional mycology applications
